Our job is to explain what happened, why it matters, and what to watch next \u2014 and to be transparent about where every figure comes from.<\/p>\n<h2>What makes a Bitcoin Digital story different<\/h2>\n<p>Two things run through everything we publish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Digital Take.<\/strong> Our signature analysis device appears on news stories, explainers and coin pages. It is a short, structured read \u2014 <em>what happened<\/em>, <em>why it matters<\/em>, <em>what to watch<\/em>, and <em>the data behind it<\/em> \u2014 attributed to the Bitcoin Digital Editorial desk and tagged &#8220;context, not advice.&#8221; A Digital Take is reasoning and evidence. It is never a buy or sell call, never a price guarantee, and never presented as financial advice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Signal Board.<\/strong> This is our live market-data layer: the scrolling ticker, the market-cap and dominance readouts, the Fear &amp; Greed gauge, the movers, and the full <a href=\"\/markets\/\">markets dashboard<\/a>. It refreshes continuously from public data and is designed to degrade honestly \u2014 if a source is briefly unavailable, we show the last good value or a loading state, never a fabricated zero or an em-dash standing in for a real number.<\/p>\n<h2>Where our data comes from<\/h2>\n<p>Our market data is drawn entirely from <strong>keyless, public sources<\/strong>, attributed on the pages that use them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Binance public market data<\/strong> \u2014 live prices, 24-hour changes, historical candles and the charts on our coin pages.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alternative.me<\/strong> \u2014 the Crypto Fear &amp; Greed Index.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DefiLlama<\/strong> \u2014 total-value-locked and stablecoin data across DeFi.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public Ethereum RPC nodes<\/strong> \u2014 live gas fees for our gas tracker.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public Bitcoin network data<\/strong> \u2014 block height for the halving countdown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our full <a href=\"\/methodology\/\">methodology<\/a> documents each source, our refresh cadence and the limits of what the data can tell you.<\/p>\n<h2>How we are written<\/h2>\n<p>Bitcoin Digital currently publishes under a collective <strong>&#8220;Bitcoin Digital Editorial&#8221;<\/strong> byline. That is a deliberate, honest choice: we would rather attribute work to the desk than invent named journalists, stock-photo faces or fabricated biographies. As real, consenting staff join specific beats, we will add named profiles with genuine credentials \u2014 never before. We use software to help with routine production tasks such as formatting and drafting summaries, but we do not publish AI-generated article bodies or AI-written analysis, and a human editor is responsible for everything that goes live. This is set out in full in our <a href=\"\/editorial-standards\/\">editorial standards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>A note on our name<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;Bitcoin Digital&#8221; is, unfortunately, also a name used by a well-known auto-trading and fake-celebrity-endorsement <strong>investment scam<\/strong>. We are not that product and have no connection to it. Bitcoin Digital is an independent news and information website. We do not operate a trading bot, we do not manage anyone&#8217;s money, we never take deposits, and we will never ask you to fund an account or promise guaranteed returns.
