Editorial Standards

Last updated July 12, 2026

These are the editorial standards that govern everything Bitcoin Digital publishes. They exist because crypto is a “your money, your life” subject, and readers deserve to know exactly how our coverage is made, what we will do, and what we will never do.

Our core rules

  • Source every claim. Material facts are traced to primary evidence — official filings, protocol documentation, on-chain data, and named market-data sources — with outbound links so you can check our work.
  • Real, named authorship. Our coverage is written by real, named contributors, each with a genuine profile and photo; collaborative and data-desk work is published under our accountable “Bitcoin Digital Editorial” byline. We do not invent journalists, biographies or photographs. See our team page.
  • Analysis is context, not advice. Our Digital Take is structured, human-written reasoning tied to data and tagged “not financial advice.” It never tells you to buy or sell and never guarantees an outcome.
  • Disclose conflicts. Where a contributor holds an asset they are writing about, that is disclosed at the top of the piece. Staff holdings policy is enforced by the desk.
  • Separate editorial from commercial. Advertising and affiliate arrangements never influence what we cover or how. See our affiliate disclosure.

How we handle AI

Editorial judgement, reporting and every Digital Take are human work. We may use software for routine production support — formatting, transcription, or drafting a plain-language summary that an editor then rewrites and verifies — but we do not publish AI-generated article bodies or AI-written analysis, and a named human editor is accountable for everything that goes live. We do not claim to be “100% human,” because that would be dishonest about modern production tools; we do commit that the thinking, the reporting and the words that matter are ours.

The fact-check

Every article moves through draft → edited → fact-checked → published. Nothing publishes without an editor’s sign-off. Anything containing a price, a forecast or a specific claim about a project receives a dedicated check for that content. Live market figures are drawn from the sources named in our methodology and are designed to fail safely — showing the last good value or a loading state rather than a fabricated number.

What Bitcoin Digital will never do

This list is a promise to our readers.

  • Take payment to write, or to soften, coverage of any coin, exchange or project.
  • Publish AI-generated article bodies or AI-written Digital Takes.
  • Present analysis as financial advice, or guarantee any price or outcome.
  • Operate, endorse or link to any “trading bot,” “auto-trading” or “get-rich” scheme — including any scam trading on the “Bitcoin Digital” name — and we will publicly disavow such products.
  • Hide an affiliate or sponsored relationship.
  • Let a contributor write about an asset they hold without disclosing it.
  • Publish anonymous “insider” tips we cannot stand behind, or fabricated journalist identities.
  • Promote ICOs, IDOs, presales or “next 100x” token calls.

On the “Bitcoin Digital” scam

To be unambiguous: there is a widely-advertised auto-trading and fake-celebrity-endorsement scam that uses the name “Bitcoin Digital.” This publication is not it. Bitcoin Digital (bitcoindigital.info) is an independent news and information website. We do not run a trading platform, we never take deposits, and we will never ask you to fund an account or promise automated profits. If a website or advert uses our name to sell guaranteed returns, it is not us — please treat it as fraud and be careful.

Corrections and feedback

We correct errors openly and promptly, with a note explaining what changed. If you spot a mistake — or want to challenge a claim — see our corrections policy and contact us. Reader feedback is genuinely how we get better.
