Corrections Policy

Last updated July 11, 2026

Bitcoin Digital corrects its mistakes openly. Accuracy matters most in a subject where readers may act on what they read, so we treat corrections as a feature of good journalism, not an embarrassment to be hidden.

Our corrections policy

  • We fix errors promptly. When we confirm a factual error, we correct the article as soon as we can.
  • We are transparent about what changed. Substantive corrections carry a dated note at the foot of the article explaining what was wrong and what it now says. We do not quietly rewrite history.
  • We distinguish the type of change. A correction fixes a factual error; a clarification sharpens something that was accurate but open to misreading; an update adds new developments to a running story. Breaking coverage carries in-line “Updated” timestamps as it evolves.
  • Live data is different. Prices and market figures on the Signal Board change constantly by design; a number that has since moved is not an error. Our methodology explains how that data is sourced and cached.

How to request a correction

If you have spotted an error — a wrong figure, a misattributed quote, an out-of-date fact, a broken claim — please tell us. The more specific you can be, the faster we can verify and fix it:

  • The article title or URL.
  • The specific statement you believe is wrong.
  • Where possible, a source for the correct information.

Send it through our contact page. We review every correction request, even the ones we ultimately disagree with, and we will let you know the outcome where a reply is warranted.

Corrections log

Published corrections and clarifications will be recorded here as they occur, so there is a public record. This log is currently empty. That is an honest reflection of a young newsroom, not a claim of infallibility — as our archive grows, this page will grow with it.
